How to wear animal print
Unleash your animal instincts through the latest animal prints. From the runway to the stores wild prints are being spotted. There are psychological associations with certain animals like cats being sexy i.e. ‘Catwoman’, Snakes are seen as dangerous and zebras as exotic. This season leopard print is the main contender, with snakeskin also making an appearance. The look is striking and confident. You can find everything from tops and dresses to shoes and accessories. Animal prints can be quite a dramatic and are perfect for winter. Take note that if this look is overdone it can leave the wearer/victim looking like they’re from “Walking with cavemen”
If you are short and petite choose smaller size print, If you are tall or have a bigger bone structure you are able to wear bigger sized prints. Age has no relevance and the more confident you are the bolder you can go!
Black and white print suits most people as a classic look but tend to work best with dark hair colour. Grey and white versions look great on cool toned blondes and brunettes, whereas the chocolate and orange variety, are perfect on golden blondes, warm redheads and warm toned brunettes.
If you're wearing an all over animal print dress or kaftan keep your accessories simple like a pair silver or gold drop earrings. If animal print in large quantities scares you, try an accessory like a printed scarf or handbag. Alternatively walk on the wide side in a pair of printed shoes. Remember less is more, so mix no more than 2 printed items together.
Whatever you buy, invest in quality staple pieces that will last. Animal print is a look that never truly goes away.
