The Key to Accessorising
Accessorising is the difference between looking good and looking great. If you are the type of girl that wears the occasional necklace and stud earrings, accessorising might seem complicated and a little daunting. Your accessories can dramatically change the look and feel of your outfit, they have the power to make your outfits go from day to night, classic to creative and casual to feminine.

It's personal
Jewellery tends to be a personal item that is best chosen by the wearer as it a great way to show off your personality. Most people have a preference between gold and silver but experimenting by mixing metals can modernise your look. Knowing your bone structure is key to determining the size of jewellery that suits you. For instance if you are petite a large necklace may overwhelm your small frame likewise if you are tall a dainty necklace can get lost.

Co-ordination
Whether it's a scarf or a bag the piece should enhance, not detract from what you're wearing. You are meant to be the center of attention, not the jangle of your bangles. Choose one wow piece, like coloured earrings and keep other accessories to a minimum. Don’t be afraid to mix colour, aim for shades that compliment each other, mix brights with brights and pastels with pastels.

Easy finds and best buys
Constantly be on the look out. Places like Colette, Diva, Equip and Myer have lots fashionable pieces to choose from at great prices.  Local boutiques and markets tend to have unique one-of-a-kind items and handmade pieces. If you prefer more timeless styles you’ll find these at traditional jewellers like Michael Hill and Angus and Coote.
